Cars are powered by a CO₂ cartridge and run on a 20-meter track. They are launched using a timing system and guided by a tether line.

What are the main components of the competition?

I am Foteini Nicolaou ,the leader of Redline Racers. This role isn’t just about managing a team—it’s a reflection of how I’ve lived my life. I’ve always gravitated toward responsibility, the kind that requires calm under pressure and clarity when things get chaotic. Whether it was in school projects, sports, or everyday life, I found myself stepping up—not because I had to, but because I wanted to see people succeed together. That same drive fuels how I lead this team. I believe in creating an environment where every voice matters, where high standards don’t mean losing your humanity, and where confidence is earned through preparation. Redline Racers isn’t just a name—it’s a group of people I’ve grown to trust, push, and believe in. And no matter what the track throws at us, we face it together.

Kornilia Vasiliou

I’m Kornilia Vasiliou, the Design Head of Redline Racers – which means every visual you see, from our social media to our uniforms, was either created or approved by me. Design isn’t just a role for me – it’s how I tell our story. I’ve shaped our brand identity, created the graphics that carry our voice, and helped bring our vision to life across every platform. Beyond the visuals, I also played a key role in designing our car in Fusion 360 – turning concepts into a physical model that reflects our team’s spirit, speed, and strategy. I also reviewed simulation results to make sure our designs didn’t just look good, but performed well too. This journey has been more than just pixels and CAD files – it’s been a chance to apply what I love in a real, challenging, and meaningful way.

DEMETRIS LAZARIDES

I’m Demetris Lazarides, and I proudly serve as the IT Manager for HHG Redline Racers. My responsibilities include developing our website, managing digital media content, and ensuring that all our technological tools and platforms function reliably throughout the competition. This role has taught me the importance of precision, adaptability, and clear communication, especially when working under tight deadlines. It has also allowed me to explore creative solutions to technical challenges while supporting the team’s broader goals. I’ve always been passionate about technology and design, and this experience gives me the chance to apply those interests in a high-stakes, team-driven environment.

My name is Christos Michailas, and I am a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong foundation built through my studies at the American Academy. I approach both my professional and personal life with perseverance, determination, and discipline—values that have shaped my journey and continue to drive my growth. With a focus on precision and continuous improvement, I take pride in solving complex challenges and pushing boundaries in the engineering field. I’m Antonis Hadjiloizou, the Resource Manager for HHG Redline Racers. My main responsibilities include securing sponsorships, managing team finances, and keeping sponsors updated on our progress. This role has taught me valuable lessons about teamwork, responsibility, and professional communication. I’ve always been curious about how business and technology intersect, and this challenge allows me to explore that while contributing to a high-performance team. I’m excited to keep developing my skills through this experience.

Being a simulations engineer didn’t just sharpen my technical skills-it reshaped the way I approach life. Working at the edge of precision, constantly iterating models, and chasing that last millisecond taught me discipline, patience, and the humility to revise my assumptions again and again. Collaborating with engineers pushed me to communicate clearly, think systematically under pressure, and embrace failure as part of the process rather than a setback. Over time, that mindset spilled into my daily life: I became more focused, more resilient, and more willing to improve one small detail at a time. It made me a better teammate, a better problem- solver, and ultimately a better version of myself.
